Come and Sing!

Come and Sing with FCC
Sing into Summer with us!
Each year, Fine City Chorus invites men who are interested in singing to sign up for a short course over four Wednesday evenings. You’ll learn a popular song from scratch alongside our established singers, who’ll be singing it for the first time too.Our director, Carol Logan, coaches and encourages us. We sing in four parts (tenor, lead, baritone and bass) and this course is an enjoyable way to find your singing voice. We’re a friendly, inclusive group and welcome new singers.
Course details:
Where: Lionwood Infant School, Telegraph Lane East, Thorpe Hamlet, Norwich NR1 4AN
When: 7:30-9:00pm on four Wednesdays
We usually celebrate the end of course with a small concert for family and friends.

Our members
Fine City Chorus has members from a range of backgrounds and different occupations. We warmly welcome potential new members, as we are an inclusive group. Harmony applies not just to our singing but to the camaraderie we share, and the friendships we develop.
If any man would like to come along and see us with a view to joining, please do get in touch. We meet to rehearse every Wednesday evening at Lionwood First and Infant School, Telegraph Lane East, Norwich NR1 4AN. Contact our Membership Secretary, Peter Woods at membership@finecitychorus.org.uk if you would like to attend a rehearsal at any point in the year.
Joining Fine City Chorus
After singing with us for a few weeks a potential new member who wants to join us will be asked to audition, quite informally, by singing their part of a song alongside a few experienced singers, but away from the full group. This is mainly to ensure newcomers can sing in tune, as we are a competing Chorus and pride ourselves on our overall sound. It isn’t necessary to pass the audition first time.
If you become a full member of Fine City Chorus there is a monthly subscription to pay. This covers the cost of things like buying and arranging music, hiring the rehearsal venue and providing uniform.
The subs are currently £22 a month.
Socials
The Chorus organises a couple of social events each year for singers and their partners.
Members’ Charity
We enjoy raising money through our singing for a different local charity each year, nominated and selected by our members.
