We sing a cappella four-part close harmony songs scored for tenor, lead, baritone and bass: a wide range of popular British and American music, some old, some new, including songs made popular by Adele, the Everly Brothers, Billy Joel, Les Misérables, Monty Python, Ricky Nelson and Queen.
Each year the chorus attends the British Association of Barbershop Singers Convention in Harrogate or Bournemouth.
We sing out at concerts, mostly in Norfolk and Suffolk: in churches, W.I. branches, private celebrations, music festivals, charity fundraising events etc. Please contact FCC if you'd like us to make an appearance at your event!
Fine City Chorus is always on the lookout for new singers, so please watch out for our 'Come and Sing' events each year, where you can come and experience harmony singing, come and see us or simply get in touch at any time.
We're only too pleased to welcome visitors to our Wednesday evening rehearsals, either with a view to joining us or just to listen. Please let us know in advance if you're coming along.
We meet every Wednesday evening at 7.30pm at Lionwood School, Telegraph Lane East, Norwich, NR1 4AN.
Our formal name is 'Norwich Barbershop Harmony Club' but we are more commonly known as Fine City Chorus.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
